The smartest folks on the list must have missed this the first time I posted it because of the holidays…
“Auto Discover” sees no services on a cable modem but “Browse” brings up the modem’s maintenance web site.
If you manually add HTTP to the services, the polling shows HTTP out of service.
Net Tools “Scan” shows HTTP to be present, and it also shows POP3. (which is not present…)
Operating system is WinXP Pro (v 5.1.2600) WUG 7.04
Can anyone tell me what could be causing this?
