How did you find what map was the issue?

I had an issue with a bad map. I think it was caused by an alert on a device that was corrupt. My only solution was to redo the map from scratch. Not fun as it was my most complex map.

I have very few dependencies set.  However with dependencies set it shouldn't poll any more often.  Did this cause your WUG to die?

Are you setting dependencies for these devices for trace routes?  If so you may want to watch the amount of times you check a particular router, bridge, etc.. to get to the device.  I had a similar problem with my WUG application dropping and went back and set dependencies to remove redundancy for checking the same devices.

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] WUG console dies

I have been running WUG 7.04 for about 9 months on a Win2K SP2 Professional
computer.  I run it as an application, not as a service, because I can't do
the type of configuring that I do in the Web interface alone.  I'm still
building the maps and getting all of the services created and monitored.

So here is the issue.  Randomly the console will shut down.  It happens when
no body is doing anything in the console.  There is no errors on screen or
in the event log.  I can't find any entries in the 'WUGEvent.log' file.

I have lived with it for some time now.  But now that I'm getting so far on
the maps that WUG is far more important to us.  There seams to be no pattern
on when it happens.  It happens anytime of the day or night, and any day of
the week.

Has any one else has this issue?  I'm looking for ideas.  Right now it
happens 1-2 times a week.

Thank you for any help or insight you can give me.
