I agree the C versions are a lot better but the picture is out of focus big
time. You should get better than that. The white out against the hardware is
a hard one to fix. I have the same problem in the LAB with tables reflecting
light.

We also did not get the NetBotz for the cams but they really serve a good
function seeing how we have no direct view into the rooms.

The guy in the picture is sitting directly under a light, and there appears
to be a quasar in the back end of the DC. You've got a tough lighting
situation. Our 4 cameras on our NetBotz 400C devices work alright.

Which Netbotz do you have, or is it the same I listed?

I did contact support and sent the a few image shots. They started
talking to me about my lighting and stuff. Our DC is around 20 x 40
feet, drop ceiling with the basic 2'x4' fluorescent lights spaced out
pretty evenly. The Netbotz is not mounted near one. Changing our
lighting is just not an option.

I have attached a picture from it, not sure if the list allows it, but
if so you can see what I mean. The guy in the chair is maybe 15' away.

Thanks for all the replies so far, I will check them out.

Alan

I have NetBotz and for the most part it works very well in our 4000 sq
ft data center and LAB. Long range shot of about 100' is no problem in
telling who it is... You might want to contact NetBotz, seems like you
might have a problem.

You might try an AXIS just for pictures. I also have seen a lot of the
(www.akcpinc.com) and know a lot of people that like them also.

Just wondering what some of you out there might be using to monitor
temp, humidity etc in your Data Centers?

We got the Netbotz 310 and the camera part of it basically just sucks.
If you are not within 5' of it, it is very difficult if not impossible
to make out who might be in our Data Center. I can get better images
and coverage from a cheap little web cam. With that, I am looking for a
device that would be cheaper than the netbotz and provide me with temp
and humidity. I did not see a product from them that only did this.

Thanks

Alan
