We have a centralized web server (Linux Apache) where all network monitoring reports
to. There is a javascript scrolling message that alerts us to any alerts from other
monitoring tools. I am looking for a Perl script or something similar to poll the
WUG web interface (or WUG database) and get ONLY the devices that are down. I'll
figure out how to get that information into the Javascript scroll box, but the problem
I have is trying to figure out how to get Perl (or any other unix-based program) to
automatically get the information from What's Up (whether from WUG web or WUG database
or whatever).

I downloaded a script from the User Community forum (
http://www.wugportal.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=UpDownload&file=index&req=viewdownload&cid=4
) which shows all devices down, but still no way to export that. Another problem
with this very nice ASP page is that it requires a user to login to WUG WebSite to get
the info, something that Perl might have a problem doing. If anyone has a known
solution for this, or a direction in which to point me, I would very much appreciate
it!!! Best regards,
Paul
