Ok, now I know what you mean,  the main problem with that is all of our web services run over HTTPS and we would prefer not to change that (i.e. setup a setup a site without SSL), I know that sounds a little strange, but the way it is.  I though you could tell What'sUp to run a VBS script that is local on the machine and have it interpit the result.

For example I have written a cgi-bin executable that will connect to a specific oracle database with specified username and password

As a result it will show ORACLE:OK or ORACLE:BAD

I do a HTTP content scan in whatsup to check wheter the result of the cgi-bin executable is ORACLE:OK or not.If not it will trigger an alert.

 

In www.ipswitch.com knowledgebase you will find usefull information about the content scan.

Let the VB script have a html output and verify the output with the content scan.

I need to access a HTTPS web site to do some content matching, I know that Whatsup can not process HTTPS request so I wrote a VBS script that can.  My question is how would I get Whatsup to run this script and make a decision on it's result.  Thanks for any help.
