I've the same problem at a customers site too. When whatsup runs as a desktop it just works fine but when I run it as a service it sometimes works and sometimes it does not. It worked for a month and when I went on a holliday it stopped working. I couldn't trace anything in the logging. It's very strange. Does someone has a solution for this problem ?
