Yes but the Whatsup server is not being rebooted.
Other servers which we are monitoring are rebooted and whatsup doesn't detect it at
all.

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] ??: RE: [WhatsUp Forum] Alert Problems

I always run Whatsup 8.01 as desktop on nt4.0, sometime after i reboot ,
the whatsup "Notification Libary" is blank , nothing else.
So I must miss the alert , because there are no any item in "Notification
Libary" .
Then reboot again , the "notification Libary" is come back , and the alert
become normal.

So after reboot , I always check the "Notification Libary" if there are any
item that i creaded to prevent miss alert .

I've the same problem at a customers site too.
When whatsup runs as a desktop it just works fine but when I run it as a
service it sometimes works and sometimes it does not.
It worked for a month and when I went on a holliday it stopped working.
I couldn't trace anything in the logging. It's very strange.
Does someone has a solution for this problem ?

I've now upgraded from WSGold 8.01 to 8.3.

I'm running WhatsUp Gold 8.01. In the past 2 weeks, any time we reboot
our
server, WhatsUp does not send any alerts (Sound, Email, Pages) untill I
stop
/ restart the WhatsUp Gold Service. We are running WhatsUp on an NT4
SP6a
machine. Has anyone else experienced this recently?
