If given the option I prefer NNTP over web based forums as it seems there is
a lot less overhead (GUI) with the same functionality, (archive,
searching..etc.).

Web based mailing list archive is available @ wugportal.com, I'd give the
exact link but the site is down.  According to IPSwitch, wugportal.com is
run by a Chinese distributor of WUG.
