We have a database for managing the tracking of Defects and Feature Requests.

So, yes, it is an identified issue and now the number of user reports has grown by one
(which is you).

I cannot say when any individual Defect will be fixed or Feature Request implemented.
However, it certainly helps when users explain why a particular issue is impacting
them. It puts things in perspective.. makes it harder to say "this would not be seen
in practice".

Now the good news. It's already been mentioned on the forum in the last couple of
days that the upcoming WhatsUp Professional will be able to use IIS as its webserver.
Well, IIS has exactly the same "problem" as WhatsUp.. it binds to all IPs. But it
can be tweaked...

Thus, all things being equal, this might solve your problem. Unless I am missing
something =)

Thanks for the reply Mark. I'm new to the list; what's a "logged Defect"?
Is it an identified issue that will someday be fixed? If so, is there any
timeline on when it might get addressed?

This is a logged Defect. It also affects the syslog server and SNMP Trap
Handler. I updated the Defect with your details.

How about this - can I bind WUG to only one IP address on my server so that
I use another one for IIS? I haven't found anything in WUG webserver that
is IP specific.

Thanks in advance folks!
