Best way ive found is to download the Cisco Icon pack for
visio. Drag an icon onto a blank visio diagram and save the diagram as an .emf
(enhanced metafile) in your WUG directory. You can then use these on your maps
as clip art by pointing the clipart object in your maps to the appropriate emf
file.
If you want to create monitored objects from the icons just
click on configure/device types on the menu bar and create a new device type
that points to the emf file. Looks a whole lot better than the built in
icons:-)
The only problem with this is that WUG stretches the icons
to fit the square, you can limit this from becoming disproportionate by adding
some text just above the icon. I add the device type such as "2600" or "3500"
just above the icon before I save it to prevent this. Its pretty much trial and
error but its not difficult.
