We are touching one of the mistakes here I think. Having the authoring tools developers involved in the development of HTML. In HTML world, browsers are often considered as first class citizens, and authoring tools as secondary. I would expect them to be on the same level, but for this we have to make an extra effort to convince them to join the table not only implementing but discussing the technology.
