Yeah, I'm planning on merging the two. (I don't think the Apple
proposal,
as it stands, is very easy to author a UI against, and I don't
think the
current spec does enough. There's presumably a middle ground that
works
better.)
I can explain how I think our proposed states and events directly
translate to state changes in UI elements if that would help. We
might want to consider a few use cases, such as YouTube presenting a
low-bitrate short user-posted video, Apple's QuickTime trailer site
presenting a movie trailer in high quality and HD resolution, etc.
