The "rule" that Anselm refers to does not exist. We can make the preload scanner smarter if we want to. It's just a matter of understanding the engineering constraints under which it operates. Given that I wrote the preload scanner that's used in WebKit and Blink, I have a pretty good grasp of those constraints. :) Adam
