had a go at it, but I find it very hard to write a good guide.
Absolutely. Me too. I hate to write docs, but I also hate having no
docs. So it's sort of a necessary evil. the ones I write are quite
tailored to my needs. so it's hard for people that where not involved
into decision making and programming process to understand what it
meant. I guess most programmers suffer from this.
Furthermore, working on Wicket is also about scratching my itch.

Yep, I agree. I writer should do this. I totally understand the docs
problem since I have it too ;) Support on the list is important, no
doubt. But having good docs answers many simple questions up-front
and Q's going to the list will become meaty and interesting and will
challenge the developer in us :D At least that was my experience with
OS.
