what do you want to authenticate?
that it can't show that tab?
As i said before that is already to late in my opinion
The link that shows that tab shouldn't be there!!  Because why give people options that they can't click on?

But you can authenticatie but then you have to do that on the link click. So the link must be "ENABLED" to do this.
