The debug pages were a security breach. Anyone could open up the debug pages by constructing the required URL. This is why we removed the pages themselves, and provide only the panels.
It is up to you to include them into your own application, on a safe place, or perhaps in a different JAR that won't be included in the final distribution of your application. So the pages will not return in any future Wicket version as part of the core wicket jar file. Perhaps we could create a separate wicket-debug jar file that could be a drop-in jar. Hi all, i found the debug view in wicket quite userful. Just before the 1.2 release it was moved into wicket-examples and i have to copy it from there - is there any chance to have it back in 1.2.1? Or are there any reasons against doing so that i am missing? Is there maybe an easier way to include it in my own applications than copying the wicket.debug package from examples? roland ------------------------------------------------------- All the advantages of Linux Managed Hosting--Without the Cost and Risk!
