It would be nice to open up markup cache so that it may be directly used by clients if they want to. I'm actually having a case where that would be handy right now. What do you think of that Juergen?

Wicket caches the markup loaded. Hence you'll see it loaded only once. However in development mode ModificationWatcher receives a request to check regularly if the file (IResourceStream) has been changed (modify date). If yes, the cache is cleared and all markup files are reloaded on request.
