We have extracted Wicket Portlet support (also known as JSR-168) from
Wicket core and made it into a wicket stuff project. The reason we
extracted it is because supporting it ourselves is not working. We
don't use portlets ourselves and don't see it happening soon. We'd
rather do a good job than a half baked one.

Therefore we ask your help if you want portlet support to be picked up
and continued. As with all wicket stuff projects, we will gladly
accept anyone who is willing to go and work on the project. If you
wish to have it return one time in the future to the core project,
then please follow the following guidelines:

 - the portlet support has to remain ASL 2.0 licensed
 - the license header test needs to run for all files

This will ensure an easy return to the core project in the future if
the need/question arises.

If you want to pickup support for this project, please let it be
known. To become part of the effort all we need is your sourceforge ID
(available for free). Then you can become the Wicket portlet guru!

Please help our community by adopting Wicket portlets!
