Hello from the Kingdom of Bhutan. My name is Sonam Wangmo, female and I work at the Royal University of Bhutan as the Chief of Research and Development, in the Office of the Vice Chancellor. https://www.rub.edu.bt/index.php/en/ My responsibilities mainly include research policy and regulation development, research capacity building and research grant management. Like everyone else, I use Wikipedia to understand a new concept and then use its references for further reading. I have a masters in computer science and I have been in the field of research management for the last 15 years. I have a possibility for research funding to deep-dive into any field and Wikimedia/Wikipedia interests me. Currently, I am going through the Wikimedia Foundation pages to learn about Wikimedia 2030 Strategy and also checking out the ongoing research in wikipedia/wikidata/wikimedia to see if there are anyways to join and contribute to the community. My interests right now are as mentioned below but I am not sure if its already done or not: 1. Wikipedia bots sound fascinating - is there a need for research or experimentation on bots? 2. Wikipedia content in my language 'Dzongkha' has very little to no presence in Wikipedia, what can be done about it and how can Wikimedia Foundation help? At the moment I am a blankslate who would require some training/learning but I am willing to invest time and find worthwhile topics. Therefore I would be grateful if you would kindly share some of the potential research topics or direct me to some group who can provide some training on how bots works and how it can be used.
