How about introducing prop=contributors which just returns a list of unique
contributors, plus the number of anonymous edits? Maybe this could be doable
efficiently with SQL.

Yes, this is what we're doing right now, but we're doing lots of API requests
which could be immensely reduced if we could retreive just the set of
contributors for a given revision.
