This would be undesired behaviour. In my current version (SMW 1.7.1 r111232),
however, rdf:type and rdfs:subClassOf are used as expected. The same is true
for the SMW homepage. So it should have been a temporary glitch that got fixed
in the meantime. If the problem persists on your site, please reopen this bug
and provide further details about the SMW-related configurations in your
LocalSettings.
