It is used in Gujarat from many times, when computers are not used for typing. And old typewriters are used. And till now, the keyboard layout is using in many places like government offices for writing into gujarati using non-unicode font, unicode too. And thus it should be keep. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I had installed MediaWiki with Narayam Extension in my Computer (Windows 7) using EasyPHP software. Other Extension like WikiEditor works properly, but the Narayam Extension does not work. I had configure LocalSettings.php which is described in Extension:Narayam. But it does not work. I want to test gu-typewriter.js and others some things, but I could not do the thing.
