Can someone tell me why /r/ is even considered a valid path for this purpose?
What word is it that makes it so that '/r/' makes sense? Cause to me /r/ speaks
'Revision', ie: &oldid, and short url does NOT use that.

Frankly I'd reject the use of that path on the grounds that it would preclude
the ability to use /r/ to point to &oldid in the future if we found a reason to
do that.
