Web browser: --- Bug #: 39546 Summary: Extra space in an empty date type property values generates value of Current date/time Product: MediaWiki extensions Version: REL1_18 branch Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: Unprioritized Component: Semantic MediaWiki AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org ReportedBy: cwdil...@gmail.com CC: jeroen_ded...@yahoo.com, mar...@semantic-mediawiki.org Classification: Unclassified Mobile Platform: --- See initial discovery on smw-users list and example of problem on scratchpad.Referata [1]. If a property is declared in a page like [[Some date attribute:: ]] with a space between the empty value and the closing brackets, SMW will provide the current date/time stamp as the value (which hadn't been declared). This is most likely to occur when semantic properties are assigned to take values passed as template call parameters. If the template has space between the template field and the closing link brackets, SMW produces the same behavior. Tested also with properties of type String and Number, which do not produce this behavior; seems to be limited to date type properties. [1] http://scratchpad.referata.com/wiki/Default_Dates_Test_1 SMW version is 1.8alpha -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug.
