Web browser: --- Bug #: 40672 Summary: Abuse filter for very short posts Product: MediaWiki extensions Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: Unprioritized Component: ArticleFeedbackv5 AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org ReportedBy: fflo...@wikimedia.org CC: mmul...@wikimedia.org Classification: Unclassified Mobile Platform: --- We would like to prevent users from posting feedback that is less than 5 characters long. Filter editor Sole Soul moved some code from filter 460 to filter 458 to make that happen: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:AbuseFilter/463 However, that filter hit the limit of >5% of actions very quickly, and was automatically disabled (perhaps unfairly, see related Bug 37615). To address this issue, Oliver and I tried filtering posts with different numbers of characters, but these actions still resulted in the filter being automatically disabled. We would like to find a solution to this issue, either by changing the Regex script, or by solving the related issue for Bug 37615: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37615 You can read more about abuse filter for article feedback on our feature requirements page: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Article_feedback/Version_5/Feature_Requirements#Abuse.2FSpam_Filters -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug.
