A global magic word __DECATEGORIZE__ that keeps the page out of all categories, but does display them, would too, in theory. In practice, however, it would prevent us from categorising the busstop pages in e.g. a [[Category:Busstops]]. I suggest this alternative be dropped. A tag <nocat> </nocat> that keeps the page out of all wrapped categories, and doesn't show such categories either, would also satisfy our original request. The differences with decat are a trade-off issue, and might depend on the specific audience of a busstop.
