sp...@wikimedia.org changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Priority|Unprioritized |Low Status|NEW |ASSIGNED CC| |sp...@wikimedia.org Assignee|wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia. |sp...@wikimedia.org |org | --- Comment #1 from sp...@wikimedia.org --- The second line is accountcreatedtext => 'The user account for $1 has been created.' Yes, it could usefully have links "Habo (Talk)". Both would likely be redlinks as the user didn't exist before. I tried changing MediaWiki:accountcreatedtext to: The user account for [[{{ns:User}}:$1|$1]] ([[{{ns:User talk}}:$1|talk]]) has been created. on my local wiki and it worked! So wikis can make this change. As to whether it *should* be in core, does the convenience of providing these links outweigh the confusion from the message getting technical and adding redlinks? Note that this message appears when someone who's already logged in creates an additional account, for someone else or as a sockpuppet. I would expect mostly advanced users do this. Anyway the core change is gerrit 37606 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
