--- Comment #4 from Isarra <zhoris...@gmail.com> ---
If it keeps coming up, perhaps that should be a sign that it is indeed a
problem.

Existing inconsistency is not a reason to add further inconsistency; it should
not be there at all. Until a new style is determined, the main styles should be
maintained across everything - not just to give the users a better overall
experience due to being less often confused, but also so it is feasible, once
said new style is determined, to actually apply it.

I appreciated that the third e in e3 is experiments, but the account creation
interface is no longer an experiment - it is currently deployed in full and
should not be using experimental formatting without a demonstrated need.

That said, these experiments themselves are indeed precisely the place to be
determining the most effective new styles for overall, but those styles should
remain in the experiments. That they do not, and that many other products are
also being deployed with mismatched styles is unfortunate, but it does not make
any of this right. All it really does it make the sites more difficult for
users to get used to using and more difficult for developers as well, not just
those who will eventually be tasked with cleaning up the entire mess, but
especially anyone currently creating new components, as there is simply no way
to know what styles and existing infrastructure to use and thus they have that
much more to deal with on top of everything they actually meant to be doing.

As for this specifically, if Helvetica and Arial are truly superior to the
defaults (which in most cases should probably be Helvetica and Arial anyway if
this is so), make the change in core. If you can make your case it should
certainly be a trivial enough change.
