I think it's possible that one specific to the main namespace might be needed,
but we can cross that bridge when we come to it.  For now, I'm okay with doing
it for a content page.  For wikis with only one content namespace (like my
initial examples) the distinction is not necessary.

That still leaves the issue of plural.  PLURAL support can not be added to
'article' as far as I know, since then existing uses (not passing a number)
will break.  It looks like if there is no number passed in, it uses the second
(or maybe last) case, which is plural in English.

So I still think a new message is necessary.
