--- Comment #8 from Nemo <federicol...@tiscali.it> --- I've read the linked request for rights with my rusty pt-0.33 (romance languages for the win!): given the link and temporal closeness to the Translate discussion I agree it implies that the sysop flag is granted also if not chiefly for translation administration work, so it was just an oversight/misunderstanding that this configuration wasn't explicitly requested so far.
