Right now our documentation says
export MEDIAWIKI_URL=http://commons.wikimedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/ #
Linux/Unix/Mac
that is not true, it is just the bash shell that uses "export", not the OS.
csh uses "setenv", fish uses "set", etc. etc.
