I was looking for an extension and found what I was looking for:
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension_talk:FileIndexer
unfortunately for "safety" reasons this extension has been disabled, no more
code available....
OKKK , I agree for safety reasons ....
BUT disabling it and not permitting people improving, or using it is a closed
sight.
There is no added value thinking like that.
When you use a car, you know there are some safety rules to respect. up to you
using the car, and respect the rules....
