            Bug ID: 72775
Summary: Support {{void}} as a magic word
           Product: MediaWiki
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Unprioritized
         Component: Parser
          Assignee: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org
          Reporter: queiroz.di...@gmail.com
       Web browser: ---
   Mobile Platform: ---

Currently, some wikis use {{void}} as a Template to include empty strings into
pages.

This template has several uses (some of them described at
[[:pt:Template:Void]]), but especially, they can be used to produce some
special behavior on pages intended to be transcluded/substituted.

I know there are other ways to get empty string from templates (like {{ns:0}}),
but I think it is important to have a safer method, that does not depends on
previous configuration or tweaks.
