Hello,

The problem:
Every Wikipedia page contains a lot of hyperlinks to other Wikipedia pages.
It becomes very annoying to click every hyperlink in order to understand every
piece of information of 1 single page.

For example:
Look at the page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_mechanics
Even in the first sentence there are multiple hyperlinks.
Let's say I don't know what the "Planck constant" is.
I have to click the link and read the summary on the new page,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planck_constant

By the time I reach the end of the summary of Quantum Physics, I will have
opened about 20 different pages.
There is a simple solution for this!

The solution:
A javascript that opens an in-page popup, which contains (the first paragraph
of) the summary of the topic of the linked page.
This would mean: If I hover with my mouse over the link "Planck constant", a
little popup screen would open underneath the link.
This popup screen contains the first paragraph of the summary of the page
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planck_constant
I can now easily understand the complete summary of "Quantum Physics" without
having to open a single link!

I believe this function could improve Wikipedia a lot, by improving the speed
of information coming to the user.
In case you need/want an example of how this would look, I'd be happy to
provide an example html+database+javascript to show you.

If this idea intrigues you, please contact me.

I wish you a pleasant day,

Paul R. Roos
