Could've said it a bit nicer, but...I agree wholeheartedly, there is no reason
for us to start supporting every possible protocol under the sun. Without a
solid use case, it simply is not worth the effort.

Yes, it should be fixed (sooner rather than later). Tagging this with
+bugsmash. Shouldn't be *too* hard to crank out a solution over the course of
that weekend.
