There are two ways to address this:
- Allow more fine-grained filtering of the log (so deletions, for example,
would be split into page deletion, page restoration and revision visibility
changes). This is bug 18954
- Change the log type of revision deletions to be different from that of page
deletions, and run a script to update the log type of old revision deletions.
I would prefer the second option.
