Cutting a user's text without warning that the text is going to be cut if the text is "too" long, is a major bug in my view. I don't see this as mere "enhancement". Can you imagine the same happened with this very "Additional comment" box on bugzilla ? At least here you would be able to add a second comment below to replace the cut text.
