Web browser: --- Bug #: 30889 Summary: Sections' "Show" buttons load random articles on Blackberry browser. Product: Wikimedia Mobile Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: critical Priority: Unprioritized Component: devices AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org ReportedBy: jac...@gmail.com CC: tf...@wikimedia.org Classification: Unclassified device: Blackberry Bold 9000 operating system: v5.0.0.592 browser: Internet Browser (default Blackberry browser) Javascript support: selected or not, doesn't matter browser identification: Blackberry default view: Column or Page, doesn't matter How to replicate: Go to an article with several sections, e.g. <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libya>. You're taken instead to <http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libya>. Scroll down to the 2nd section "History" and click the "Show" button. A random page is loaded, e.g. "Bob Myrick", or when going back and clicking "Show" again: "Road safety audit". What should happen instead: the section is shown when clicking the "Show" button. Workaround 1: The sections aren't hidden when the browser identification is set to Firefox, but not everyone may know how to set that, and if done it leads to logs showing more Firefox readers and less Blackberry readers, suggesting that not enough people are using Blackberries to read the site and it's therefor not worth fixing for them. Workaround 2: At the bottom, the link to "View this page on regular Wikipedia" shows all the information in all the sections. I'm from South Africa, part of the "global south". -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug.
