Web browser: --- Bug #: 31039 Summary: offer "link to this section" links too Product: MediaWiki Version: 1.19-svn Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: Unprioritized Component: General/Unknown AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org ReportedBy: jida...@jidanni.org Classification: Unclassified ==Nurdsburg== produces Nurdsburg [edit] Well that is very well and good, but other software already produce Nurdsburg [link] [edit] which allows the user to copy a link to the section anchor without needing to dig it out of the TOC, (if there indeed is a TOC!) Just imagine Google Maps without a "link to this map", or a Picassaweb with no "link to this photo", or a YouTube with no "share, link", etc. etc. You might argue that yes there are plenty of "link to this page" spots the user can copy the URL from... but then I will argue that you are offering edit links but not "link links" to the same granularity. I'm not asking for a goofy "Share" button or plug-in, just a basic HTML link to allow the user access to copy more exact links, without relying on him poking around for the TOC, if any. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug.
