@Addshore I guess the problem here is that what technically is a breaking change is also the requirement of this ticket: make existing clients receive the overwritten local description, without any change to the client. We cannot fulfill that requirement without a breaking change.
If changing client behavior is an option, my preferred approach would be to introduce a new API module that offers a short description and (to the outside) says nothing about where it comes from, and then have one implementation that uses wikidata, one that uses the magic word, and one that combines both using some kind of fallback logic. But as far as I understand, we do not have this luxury.
