TASK DESCRIPTION

The #statements parser function, always uses the value's label. However, sometimes this is overly verbose. As an example using United States of America instead of the page title United States is needlessly verbose.

Sometimes, the opposite is the case, and the linked page title is more verbose than the item's label.

It would be really helpful if there was an option on the parser function to use the label (the default) or the page title (if available). Alternatively, it could just pick the shorter of the two.
