The only problem we had was that URLs in the sitelink view (on repo) suddenly became https (instead of protocol relative), that could pose a problem for users that aren't able to use https. Because of this only the sites table entry for ruwikinews on Wikidata has https urls, all other remain protocol-relative (I changed that per hand :/).
