I believe those measures are already in place, but perhaps @Gehel could confirm. WIth the maxlag fix ed up to act on lagged wdqs servers early, we shouldn't really end up in the position where the lag grows massively, unless there is actually something wrong with the server, especially with the other work being done in T238229 <https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T238229>. Also, of course, if this ends up becoming an issue (noone can edit for hours or days etc.) then we can re-evaluate all of this.
