  My assumption is that this will happen very rarely and we can delay handling 
this in a nicer way for Step 1. This assumption is based on the fact that to 
get into this situation the article has to be protected, the editor has to have 
the rights to edit it, open it while logged in and then must leave the article 
open long enough to be logged out or log out in a different tab and then get 
back to the article and start editing with the Bridge. That chain of events 
seems unlikely to happen often.
