Hey, @Lucas. The difference is intended: we thought that there was a chance that the new full-width variant of the EventEmittingButton would be implemented as a new component, and that in that case this new component could incorporate the right padding (12px left/right), so we shouldn't have to add yet another correction to the list in T246117: Visual fixes <https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T246117>.
