If the file is used to generate statements, the catalogue should probably also have the information necessary to create valid references <https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Help:Sources#Databases> with the data, i.e. - the property used as key (e.g. VIAF ID (P214) <https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property:P214>) - the url formatter for the key. Optional if it is "formatter URL" (P1630) on the property <https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property:P214#P1630>, but can be different) - value for stated in (P248) <https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property:P248>.
