TASK DESCRIPTION Wikibase has its own code <https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/g/mediawiki/extensions/Wikibase/+/a1cba3fe72085761941752c257263061c923fd0a/repo/includes/EditEntity/MediawikiEditFilterHookRunner.php#103> to run the EditFilterMergedContent hook which also passes the $slotRole parameter. However, this isn't passed when the hook is run by EditPage, and the parameter is also absent in the new-style EditFilterMergedContentHook interface. Among other things, this means that any handler that needs the $slotRole parameter (e.g. AbuseFilter) cannot switch to the new interface for the EditFilterMergedContent hook. Either the parameter is added to MW core, or runs a new hook there.
