  No, I do not think that changing the language code to `default` would be a 
good idea. `mul` is a defined ISO 639-2 code 
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_639-2_codes>, and we should probably 
not introduce any made up things here.

  I don't have strong feelings here. This could maybe use a bit further 
research, both checking in with new-ish editors as well as those prolific 
editors with a lot of knowledge about language codes.
  Maybe "default values (mul)" could be meaningful for both groups?

  Noticeably, there is some accessibility copy for screen readers that should 
also be adjusted. But other than that, we don't seem to have copy for it in
