I had taken this task up a while ago, but couldn’t follow it up due to my lack of familiarity with mediawiki-extensions and my preference towards pywikibot projects. Now that I am trying to work towards GSoC in pywikibot, I don't think I'll be able devote time towards understanding and solving this, and hence am placing it up for grabs.
