There is already vertical script on at least fr/zh/en pages. That's well supported by most browser today.
But even without vertical script that could be better, at least the format mn-Mong should be given to the browser, so it understand that's Mongolian, and do adapted ligatures, accessibility can work, etc...
There are some sample using vertical Mongolian, with the [[:zh:Template:Mong]] (also used in french). There is [[:en:Template:MongolUnicode]] in english for vertical writting too.
